What Happens After Your HTMA Results: Inside the Consultation

A closer look at the results consultation itself: what's covered, how it's structured, and what you leave with.

By HTMA for Women · Published

Once your hair sample has been analysed, the laboratory report itself is only half the picture. The consultation is where those numbers actually become useful, so it's worth knowing what to expect before you get there.

Why the consultation isn't optional

Laboratory numbers alone don't provide enough context for personalised recommendations. Two people could have similar-looking reports and need different guidance, depending on their symptoms, diet, health history, and daily life. The consultation is where Valerie at WellbyVal connects the measured mineral patterns with everything else she knows about you, identifies realistic priorities, and gives you space to ask questions directly. It's a core part of the service, not an add-on tacked onto the test.

How the session works

Before your consultation, Valerie reviews your laboratory report together with the detailed questionnaire you completed about your health history, symptoms, diet, and lifestyle. Your session itself takes place online over Google Meet, so you can join from home, and it can be conducted in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.

Sessions generally run 60 to 90 minutes, giving enough time to go through your report properly rather than rushing through a list of numbers. It's a conversation, not a lecture; you're encouraged to bring your own questions and context.

What you leave with

After your session, you receive a personalised PDF plan covering food, meal structure, habits, and where appropriate, carefully selected supplements. It's built to be realistic and specific to you, rather than a long generic list. There's also a period for follow-up questions afterward, so if something needs clarifying once you've had time to sit with it, you're not left figuring it out alone.

If you want more structure and support

Some women want a single results conversation and a plan to work from. Others prefer more built-in support as they put that plan into practice. That second option includes a longer follow-up window, a second consultation, and a structured 90-day roadmap, so the level of support is genuinely a choice rather than one-size-fits-all.
