A common assumption about hair mineral testing is that it ends with a long list of supplements to buy. That's not how it works here, and honestly, it's not a great sign if a service's answer to every result is more products.
What recommendations are actually built from
Recommendations are informed by your HTMA report, but also by your symptoms, diet, health history, goals, and anything you're already taking. That combination matters more than any single number on the lab report. The aim is a focused plan you can realistically follow, not an exhaustive protocol that looks impressive but falls apart within a few weeks because it's not sustainable.
Food and habits come first
Recommendations may include food choices, meal structure, hydration, sleep, and stress support, with carefully selected supplements only where they're appropriate. In many cases, the more sustainable lever is something you do every day, like how meals are structured or how consistently you're sleeping, rather than another product on a shelf. Supplements, where they're used, are meant to support that foundation, not replace it.
These are suggestions, not prescriptions
It's worth being precise about what this is and isn't. You receive individual, personalised suggestions, informed by your report and your context. HTMA alone cannot determine all of your supplement needs, and these recommendations aren't a substitute for medical advice. If you take medication, have a diagnosed condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under active medical treatment, check any proposed changes with your doctor or pharmacist before starting them.
Tracking whether it's working
If you've followed your plan for a while and want to see how things have changed, a repeat HTMA can be useful, though timing should be agreed with your practitioner rather than chosen just to produce a quick before-and-after comparison. A repeat test can show how your measured hair patterns changed; it doesn't, by itself, measure whether treatment has "worked" or diagnose anything about your health.
